Everytime we get together, I am amazed at how much we have to share and how much we love to continue to experience and discuss aesthetic education philosophy and practice. And we always say the same thing: “I wish we could do this more often.” So I am offering up this blog as a space to keep these excellent conversations and connections going.
To begin with I have posted all of the notes from the Advanced Summer Institute Training on this site. I’m hopeful that this will be a great jumping off place for us to re-connect, chat, and post our ideas about art, AE, questions, etc…
In the upper right box, you will find all of these notes. Please feel free to add comments at the bottom of these pages! Below the pages on the right, I’ve included an initial “post.” This is where I imagine we will begin discussions on the topic of “questions” as well as other aspects of the practice. And below the posts are links to some related websites.
I’ve invited Nick Mahmat to join our “Question Blog” and perhaps we will invite other artists and teachers at another date. In the mean time, I hope this serves as a way for us to continue to share and discuss our experiences with questions, questioning, and the practice of aesthetic education.
I confess that I am new to blogging, so please let me know how this blog can be improved!
